1. Multitask is awesome - in Macintosh [original thread]
On the exact same machine but on Windows XP SP3, the load when hidden is 2-5% as shown in the task monitor, so 4-10% of single core use directly comparable with 60% quoted in the previous post. There's also considerably less heat. "Cider is doing...

Edited by: Beann Loant on 18/10/2010 11:13:21 <rant> Actually, it would be a huge improvement to have a UI that suddenly does not require you to right-click to perform EVERY GODDAMN SINGLE ACTION in EVE. CCP, when you're done rewriting...

3. Multitask is awesome - in Macintosh [original thread]
Confirmed, there is now no noticeable loss in responsiveness when EVE is full screened and hidden, even on old hardware (2006 MBP, 10.6.4 with graphic update). Huge improvement. However, hidden client still generates a lot of CPU load (60-65% of ...

Edited by: Beann Loant on 30/06/2010 18:47:02 EVE seems to disappear from dock if you try to Cmd+Tab out of it on 1.0.2. It disappears from the Cmd+Tab list as well and there is no way to switch back to it. The client seems to continue to run ...

Edited by: Beann Loant on 11/03/2009 17:07:22 Originally by: Verite Rendition It's terribly CPU limited. It no longer seems to be, at least in my case. The old classic client was very CPU-heavy, indeed. The Apocrypha client consist...

Dude, you're using a not-so-bleeding edge GPU under an insane resolution so no wonder. We're struggling to get reasonable (above 15 FPS) framerates on lowest settings under "normal" (1440x900) resolutions ù and failing. --
